Emil Theodor Weimershaus

Emil Theodor Weimershaus ist der Autor einer Mandolinenschule die als Tongers Taschenalbum Nr. 18 im Jahre 1902 erschienen ist. Diese Schule hat viele Auflagen erlebt und ist häufig bei Auktionen und in Antiquariaten zu finden.

Ich besitze zwei Ausgaben. Weimershaus wurd 1847 geboren, ein Todesjahr habe ich bisher nicht gefunden. Wenn er nicht älter als 97 Jahre geworden ist dann ist das Copyright dieser Schule inzwischen abgelaufen.

Weimershaus hat ebenfalls eine Flötenschule veröffentlicht. Er war Schüler von Boehm und hat als Solo-Fflötist in Köln gewirkt.

Der Tonger Verlag ist heute spezialisiert auf Chorwerke, er kooperiert seit 2007 mit der edition 49 die viele Noten für Zupfinstrumenten anbietet.

Emil Theodor Weimershaus is the author of a mandolin method that has been published as "Tongers Taschenalbum No. 18" in 1902. This little method has had many editions, it can be found regularly at auctions or in used book stores.

I own two copies of the book in two different editions. One edition has written on the back cover "Nimmmichmit! (Füreinemark)" which means "Take me with you! (for one Mark)". So this was a cheap method as were the other editions of the Taschenalbum (pocket album) series.

Weimershaus is also the author of a method for the flute. He was a solo flutist in Cologne, a student of Boehm.

The publishing company Tonger Verlag is specialized in choral works today, since 2007 it cooperates with edition 49 a publishing company with a large selection of music for guitar, mandolin and mandolin orchestra.
